Saturday Story

It’s a beautiful morning. Sun is shining and there is lots of snow. It’s about 10 degrees at 9am- we have 20km groomed to classic and skate– and 100% of trails are open!

It’s a great day for snowshoeing on groomed or backcountry trails

Backcountry Report — Reports from skiers are good. New snow for Friday was 5″ with some wind drifting. The snow conditions Thurs and Fri was changeable–BUT It was very cold and clear last night so much of the moisture is out of the snow– and conditions should be even better today. Art says BC conditions are “something short of superb”.

Tomorrow is the Bolton Backcountry Tour for Women — led by Catamount Trail Organization. For more info and registration — Contact Amy Diller [diller.amy@gmail.com] or Emily Sterns [emilys@skirack.com]

A beautiful afternoon on the hill.
Late afternoon sun– so beautiful.

A great weekend for skiing.

5″ more inches of snow fell through the day today and then the sky cleared for a beautiful sunset– There is some great powder in the backcountry and the groomed trails are in amazing shape.

This is going to be a great weekend for Bolton to Trapps Tour or Woodward Trail– but cold in the morning, so be prepared.

It’s going to be a busy weekend at Bolton Valley– we recommend skiing early to ensure parking or carpool.  Also remember that there is parking on the lower tennis court lot behind the sports center building.
