Saturday March 1

11am Update– It’s still snowing.  We groomed some trails early this morning, but it’s hard to tell what we groomed because there has been lots of snow accumulation and wind since then.  But we are going to go back out and classic/skate groom — but all in all it’s a wonderful soft powder day.

After a beautiful sunny powder day yesterday– we are back in snow storm mode. We are so happy to keep getting snow because it means that spring skiing will be that much better. . . Today’s conditions- we have 20km groomed for skate and 15km groomed for classic. At 9am it is 20 degrees and snowing… and windy. The wax is blue or extra blue.  The Forecast for the rest of the day is for snow tapering, winds becoming calmer and temps to hold steady through the day.

It’s a great day for a lesson or snowshoe tour. Today we have a Classic Group Lesson from 10-11am, a Snowshoe Tour from 1-3pm— and Private Lessons are always possible. Just give us a call and we will find a time that works for your Private Lesson. Don’t forget– join a lesson and receive $5 off rental equipment.
Today is also the Frigid Infliction– a Team Adventure Race hosted by GMARA …. the race started at 5am and teams are currently on course. The race should not affect skiing today– but just keep an eye out for racers.
