Friday Conditions

It’s another beautiful morning.  And a great day for some spring skiing– before winter returns tomorrow and through the weekend.  We have 20km groomed for classic and skate.  The tracks are perfect and the skate surface hardened up well overnight.

Current temp in the Nordic Center base area is 33 degrees– and there is a strong sun and blue sky– the forecast is for warming through today to about 40 degrees and increasing clouds early evening.

Backcountry conditions are crust with 1-2″ of power on top— there is still lots of snow out there… and things should soften up later today.

Last chance to be part of the inaugural Catamount Trail Backcountry Challenge Race- a 16km race from Trapps to Bolton.  Sign up NOW to be part of this challenging event and support the work of the Catamount Trail Organization.  And there are lots of great Prizes!!!

Don’t forget 08/09 Season’s Passes are now on sale– buy a pass now and you will get free skiing for the rest of this season and the best price of the year if you purchase by April 7!!   link here for the BV Pass Page
