Snowflake Thermometer and Great Skiing!

Our friends at the Jericho historical Society are keeping the art/science and history of Snowflake Bentley alive.  One of our favorites is this thermometer poster that shows what snowflakes form at different temperatures

Bolton Season Opener

We had a great race today. Over 100 hearty souls enjoyed epic conditions to kick off the season- high winds, continuous snow fall on  top of the solid  groomed base made for a abrupt kick start to racing.  Many college teams, NENSA clubs, BKL Kids and others!!

North West Vermont Endurance and Bolton Nordic have some of the best race volunteers- Thanks to everyone for a great day!

Results — Women, Men and Kids are in one file- look to the bottom of the page and you will see different named worksheets.

More Photos coming soon. Check back Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks to Eric Darling and Sarah Pribram for taking event photos.

Sunday Update

We don’t want to jinx it, but the wet, nasty weather that was anticipated for today has not made its way up the mountain yet!  It’s stormy out, for sure, but right now it is definitely a winter storm.  As usual, wooded trails are more protected from the wind, so once in the shelter of the trees, it is still a beautiful day to be skiing.

We want to give a big shout out to all of the racers who are showing up to open the race season in the cold and blowing snow.  Which leads us to…
