We have heard that in the valley it is raining and it’s not until about 1/2 way up the Access Road that the rain changes to SNOW. It’s snowing pretty steady at 11am. Currently the elevation change from rain to snow is about 15oo’.
It snowed 12-15″ last night and it’s snowed another 3-5″‘ this morning. We will have photos soon.
The trees were once again covered in ice crystals making the mountains and woods blindingly beautiful when the sun came out.
Thanks to Erik and Zack for making and hanging our new “you are here” signs. They are a great addition to our trails.
We are doing Group Nordic Ski lessons all week. These are perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to cross country ski- including families and kids.

Today is Ski and Ride with the Point at Bolton Valley. 1/2 price Nordic Tickets all day. Perfect excuse to leave work a little early today and come skiing, then go to the apres ski party in the James Moore Tavern in the Alpine Base Lodge.
We are pleased to have a new photography exhibit in the Nordic Center Gallery during the month of February. Sheri Larsen, a Bolton Nordic regular, is a nature and travel photographer from Essex, Vermont. She always has a digital camera with her – whether she’s going for a walk in Vermont or traveling to distant points in the U.S., Canada or other countries. In some photos Sheri Focuses on the details in nature, while in others she tries to capture the grandeur of a particularly scenic location.
Sheri has exhibited her work at the Champlain Valley Art Gallery and the Burlington South End Art Hop. Wildflower and other photographs of hers were published in the book Nature Walks in Northwest Vermont and the Champlain Valley by Elizabeth Bassett. In addition, several of her photographs have appeared in local media.
