Beginner Package
Are you new to Nordic skiing?  Then this package is the best place to start.  Try our high quality, easy to use rental equipment and spend an hour with one of our professional ski instructors learning the basics of Nordic Skiing. Package includes a ticket, lesson and rental for $50.

Wednesdays 11am, Saturdays 10am and 1pm, Sundays 1pm

Free Sunday Morning Nordic Clinics- Beginning January 16th
The 2011 Season offers free Sunday morning clinics from 10-11am. Classic clinic taught by guest Nordic instructors and Bolton Nordic staff. Free clinics are limited to one session per person per lifetime. Clinic participants receive $5 off rentals.  Clinic includes complimentary skiing during clinic and participants need to purchase a ticket to stay and ski for  the afternoon. Reservations required.  We have a limit of 10 people per Sunday clinic, so register today.

General Info

If this is your first time skiing- join us at the Bolton Nordic Center to purchase a trail pass, sign up for lessons, rent equipment, get information about trails and grooming.

The Nordic Center is located in the Sports Center building in the base area of the resort.

Bolton is a great place for beginner skiers to learn the basics of Nordic skiing, including classic and skate techniques as well as back country skiing. See our selection of Lessons.

Clothing and Equipment

Dressing for Nordic skiing starts with layering. As an aerobic sport Nordic skiing the key to being comfortable on skis is being able to take off layers as you get warned up. The best thing is to start with a thin first layer, add a fleece or sweater and have a windproof shell.

The Bolton Valley Nordic Center rents Nordic ski equipment including skis, boots and poles. We have a large fleet of rental equipment to fit kids through adults. Our friendly, helpful and experienced staff will fit your equipment, choose the right trails and get you on your way.

Return to the Nordic Center after your ski to share a cup of hot chocolate with friends and to recount your adventures.
